Credits are the digital currency of the HootGPT workspace. Every action you take—from generating a paragraph to creating an AI avatar—consumes a specific type of credit based on the computational power required for that task.

To keep things simple, we categorize credits into four main pools: Words: Consumed by the AI Writer, Chat, and Article Wizard. Media Credits: Used for Image Generation, Photo Studio, Faceswap, AI Avatar and AI Video. Characters: Used for AI Voiceovers and Voice Cloning. Minutes: Used for Speech-to-Text transcription and audio processing.

While both give you access to our tools, they serve different needs: Commitment: Subscriptions are recurring monthly or yearly payments, whereas Prepaid packs are one-time 'top-ups' with no recurring fees. Value: Subscription plans offer a much higher volume of credits at a discounted 'bulk' rate compared to individual packs. Bonus Features: Subscriptions often unlock premium features and higher 'AI Avatar' task limits that are not included in basic prepaid packs. Credit Expiration: Subscription credits typically refresh every 30 days, while Prepaid credits stay in your account until they are fully consumed. Flexibility: Prepaid packs are perfect for light users who only need one specific type of credit (like 50k Words) without a monthly bill.

Yes. We offer a 7-day refund policy for all new subscriptions. If you find the platform isn't the right fit for your workflow within the first week, you can request a full refund, provided that less than 5% of your total plan credits have been consumed.

You can view your remaining balances at any time directly at the top of your dashboard. We provide real-time updates for Words, Images, Characters, and Minutes so you always know exactly what you have left.
